House Immigration Subcommittee Chair Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-CA) has announced his retirement from the House after 12 terms in Congress.

Rep. Gallegly’s 24th district was drawn into the new 25th district under a new congressional map, significantly diminishing his chances of reelection.
