A recent report, issued jointly by the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and the Partnership for a New American Economy (PNAE) suggests that immigration reform has not been given enough consideration as a way to boost the nation’s economy. The report uses hard data from the U.S. census bureau and from temporary worker visa applications to perform a state-level comparison and address the question: “In states with more immigrants, are US natives more or less likely to have a job?”
