Don’t Turn Away Critical STEM Talent with Advanced Degrees from U.S. Universities!

As the Number of Foreign-born Students Enrolled at U.S. Universities has Increased, the U.S. Immigration System Has Remained Broken, Not Welcoming Top Talent

The Council of Graduate Schools released a report last month, which found the following:

●     An 8 percentincrease from 2010 to 2011 in foreign students’ first-time enrollment in U.S. graduate schools;
●     A 6 percentincrease for engineering enrollees; and
●     A 12 percentincrease for physical/earth sciences enrollees.

With more foreign-born students entering to earn degrees at America’s world-class universities in these key science and engineering fields, we need an employment-based immigration system that welcomes these highly educated professionals to stay in America and help grow the U.S. economy, create jobs and innovate.

Let’s Fix the Employment-Based High-Skilled Immigration System and Welcome the Best and Brightest Already Here Studying in U.S. Universities!
