ACIP Members Invited: USCIS Teleconference - Immigrant Fee Transition to ELIS

USCIS recently announced the transition of the payment of the USCIS Immigrant Fee from pay.gov to USCIS ELIS, the Electronic Immigration System.  USCIS will hold a teleconference on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Eastern) to discuss the transition.
 
As of February 1, 2013, any customer who receives an immigrant visa package at an overseas consulate or embassy must pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee in order to receive their Green Card in the United States.
 
The transition to ELIS is aimed at simplifying and centralizing the payment process and allowing customers to file applications and petitions in the future as they become available in the system. During the teleconference, USCIS subject matter experts will address frequently asked questions regarding the USCIS Immigrant Fee and USCIS ELIS.

Members Invited - USCIS Teleconference I: EB-5 Engagement with the Securities and Exchange Commission - April 3, 2013

USCIS and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will conduct a stakeholder teleconference on April 3, 2013 at 3 p.m. (Eastern) to discuss the EB-5 Immigrant Investor program. Experts from the SEC will discuss securities law compliance in the context of EB-5 regional centers and investments. Stakeholders will have an opportunity to ask the SEC questions at the end of the teleconference.
