The American Council on International Personnel is seeking submissions of workshop proposals for our Annual Symposium to be held June 4-7, 2012 in Washington, DC.  ACIP’s Annual Symposium is the premier educational and networking event for in-house immigration professionals, featuring plenary sessions with remarks from numerous government officials, as well as industry roundtables, workshops, and opportunities for Congressional advocacy visits.

The Vermont Service Center (VSC) Fall Stakeholder Conference 2011 will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Hilton Hotel in Burlington, Vermont from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm ET. The tentative agenda items include an I-129 H, L, O & P visas, panel on USCIS role in consular notification, I-129/I-539 roundtable, H-1B extensions, L visas, O & P filings, and update on VAWA and TPS. Speakers will include VSC Director, Dan Renaud, and Associate Director of the USCIS Customer Service Directorate, Rob L. Hogan, along with representatives of VSC management.

USCIS will be hosting a national stakeholder teleconference on Wednesday, October 26th at 1:00 pm ET to discuss proposed changes to the American Institutions of Research (AIR) process. USCIS wants to engage with stakeholders and get their feedback on the process of updating the list of AIRs. The current list of AIRs is posted at www.uscis.gov/air. A Conversation with Director Mayorkas: EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program
