Ms. Shotwell has served as Executive Director for ACIP since 2004.She began her career at ACIP in 1996 as Legal Counsel and Director of Government Relations. Ms. Shotwell has served on steering committees and Boards of numerous organizations including the Alliance for International Educational and Cultural Exchange, Compete America, Multinational Employers for Working Spouses, and the Executive Working Group on Global Mobility Policies. She is a frequent lecturer on global mobility policies and practices and has testified before the U.S. Congress, the United Nations, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the World Bank, the International Organization on Migration and the Global Commission on International Migration. Prior to joining ACIP, Ms. Shotwell practiced immigration law at Arent Fox and worked in the human resources department at Oldsmobile. She received her B.A. in International Relations from Michigan State University and a J.D. from University of Michigan.
 
Ms. Peters has worked with ACIP in Washington DC for over seven years, helping to advance highly skilled visa reform and guard against unreasonable enforcement mechanisms to critical visa programs. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Compete America coalition, a leading advocate for reforming U.S. immigration policy for highly educated professionals. She is a frequent speaker on issues of high skilled immigration reform and has been published in trade journals on the issue. Prior to joining ACIP, Ms. Peters practiced immigration law at a Washington D.C.-based law firm and also served as an attorney in an honors program at the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service, where she worked for Headquarters Policy and Counsel offices and also spent time representing the government in immigration court proceedings. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Gonzaga University and a J.D./M.P.A. from Syracuse University’s College of Law and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
 
As a member of ACIP’s Government Relations Team, Mr. Serifovic works with federal agencies to improve employment-based immigration policies. He monitors immigration law developments and conducts substantive legal analysis to communicate to ACIP members.  For the last six years, Mr. Serifovic has exclusively focused on specializing in complex immigration legal matters affecting individual clients, companies, and institutions. He practiced employment-based immigration law with international business law firms in Texas and Washington, D.C., and provided direct immigration legal expertise to institutional clients across the United States as an immigration attorney with Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC).Mr. Serifovic earned a B.A. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts and his J.D from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, where he also obtained a Certificate in Comparative and International Law.
 
Mr. Jackson manages ACIP’s J-1 Exchange Visitor Program and administers the intern and trainee programs sponsored under the J-1 visa designation.  Prior to joining ACIP, Mike was the University Relations Manager for the Association for International Practical Training (AIPT) and was the program manager in charge of operating the U.S. affiliate of the International Association for the Exchange Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) program.   During his tenure Mike coordinated IAESTE United States’ J-1 visa program, managed work abroad exchange partnerships in over 40 countries, and supported university and corporate clients throughout the United States and worldwide.  Previously, he served as the Communications and Outreach Officer at the Washington, DC-based Middle East Institute (MEI) and has also worked at the University of Southern California’s School of International Relations and at Powell Tate | Weber Shandwick Public Affairs. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from The George Washington University and a Master’s degree in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California.
 
Mr. Malsky oversees management of employee policies and benefits and executes accounting procedures for member services. He also serves as Coordinator for the ACIP Annual Symposium. Prior to joining ACIP, he served as a Scheduler and Congressional Aide on the Hill. Mr. Malsky received a B.A. from SUNY Fredonia in Political Science with a focus on International Relations and a minor in American History.
 
As a member of ACIP’s Government Relations Team, Ms. Saville is responsible for covering relevant news stories and attending meetings and teleconferences on behalf of ACIP.She also assists the team with drafting written materials to post on the ACIP website.Previously at ACIP, Ms. Saville served as the Assistant to the Executive Director and Coordinator for ACIP’s Annual Symposium.Prior to joining ACIP, she worked as a paralegal at a large immigration law firm.Ms. Saville received a B.A. from Tufts University, earning a major in English and a minor in Political Theory.She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy at The George Washington University.
 
Ms. Baptiste is responsible for processing applications and executing accounting procedures for ACIP’s J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program.She coordinates with host employers to complete applications in SEVIS. Previously at ACIP, Ms. Baptiste served as an Administrative Assistant to the J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program and Government Relations Team.In those positions, she created an on-line intake form for the J-1 Visa Exchange Program and developed an instruction manual for posting written materials on ACIP’s Web site. Ms. Baptiste received a B.A. from Georgetown University, earning a major in English with a minor in Political Science.
