Our Staff

Ms. Shotwell has served as Executive Director for ACIP since 2004.She began her career at ACIP in 1996 as Legal Counsel and Director of Government Relations. Ms. Shotwell has served on steering committees and Boards of numerous organizations including the Alliance for International Educational and Cultural Exchange, Compete America, Multinational Employers for Working Spouses, and the Executive Working Group on Global Mobility Policies. She is a frequent lecturer on global mobility policies and practices and has testified before the U.S. Congress, the United Nations, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the World Bank, the International Organization on Migration and the Global Commission on International Migration. Prior to joining ACIP, Ms. Shotwell practiced immigration law at Arent Fox and worked in the human resources department at Oldsmobile. She received her B.A. in International Relations from Michigan State University and a J.D. from University of Michigan.
 
Ms. Peters has worked with ACIP in Washington DC for over eight years, helping to advance highly skilled visa reform and guard against unreasonable enforcement mechanisms to critical visa programs. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Compete America coalition, a leading advocate for reforming U.S. immigration policy for highly educated professionals. She is a frequent speaker on issues of high skilled immigration reform and has been published in trade journals on the issue. Prior to joining ACIP, Ms. Peters practiced immigration law at a Washington D.C.-based law firm and also served as an attorney in an honors program at the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service, where she worked for Headquarters Policy and Counsel offices and also spent time representing the government in immigration court proceedings. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Gonzaga University and a J.D./M.P.A. from Syracuse University’s College of Law and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
 
Mr. Jackson manages ACIP’s J-1 Exchange Visitor Program and administers the intern and trainee programs sponsored under the J-1 visa designation.  Prior to joining ACIP, Mike was the University Relations Manager for the Association for International Practical Training (AIPT) and was the program manager in charge of operating the U.S. affiliate of the International Association for the Exchange Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) program.   During his tenure Mike coordinated IAESTE United States’ J-1 visa program, managed work abroad exchange partnerships in over 40 countries, and supported university and corporate clients throughout the United States and worldwide.  Previously, he served as the Communications and Outreach Officer at the Washington, DC-based Middle East Institute (MEI) and has also worked at the University of Southern California’s School of International Relations and at Powell Tate | Weber Shandwick Public Affairs. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from The George Washington University and a Master’s degree in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California.
 
Mr. Storch supports ACIP’s Government Affairs team as Manager of Agency Liaison, responsible for working with federal immigration agencies to ensure employment-based immigration policies enable U.S. employers to build America’s future workforce, grow the economy and create U.S. jobs.  Prior to joining ACIP, Mr. Storch worked as an immigration paralegal at both Trow & Rahal, PC and Freilicher & Hoffman, PC. Mr. Storch has also spent time serving in the offices of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley and U.S. Representative Jerry Costello (D-IL).  Mr. Storch received his JD from American University, where he worked as a student attorney in the university’s Immigrant Justice Clinic. Mr. Storch also holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Wisconsin and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
 
Susan Michelle Reyes, Executive Assistant
Mrs. Reyes serves as the Executive Assistant to Lynn Shotwell, Executive Director.  Susan oversees management of employee policies and benefits and executes accounting procedures for member services. She also assists with the Coordination of the ACIP Annual Symposium.   Prior to joining ACIP, Susan was the Administrative Assistant for the SHRM Foundation.   Susan has a combined 12 years working at the Society for Human Resource Management and has joined ACIP with a working knowledge and willingness to support ACIP during our continued transition.  Susan holds an Associate of Arts degree from Northern Virginia Community College and continues to pursue her secondary education.    
 
As a member of the Government Affairs Team, Ms. Langley is responsible for drafting and posting relevant articles and other legislative information to the ACIP website.  She also tracks pertinent bills through Congress and covers meetings and conferences on ACIP’s behalf.  Prior to joining ACIP, Ms. Langley worked at a large business immigration law firm in various positions, and was an Executive Assistant to the managing partner of an energy regulatory law firm.  She received a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Mary Washington, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Human Resources from The University of Scranton. 
 
Mr. Yewdell supports ACIP’s J-1 Exchange Visitor Program and the intern and trainee programs sponsored under the J-1 visa designation. Prior to joining ACIP, Andrew developed and coordinated online international exchange programs for MENASA in Washington, DC, connecting emerging leaders in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia with their peers in the United States. Previously, he served as an immigration paralegal with Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen and Loewy, LLP in New York City, where he prepared visa petitions. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Politics and a Certificate in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University.
 
Ms. Nemekhbayar is an Exchange Visitor Program Assistant working with ACIP’s intern and trainee programs. Prior to joining ACIP she worked for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in the Member Care team supporting SHRM’s 250,000-plus members worldwide. Previously, she interned with the Embassy of Mongolia in Washington DC at the consular section and with ViON Corporation.  Zolboo received her B.A in International Relations from the American University and Business Administration Certificate from Georgetown University.
